The 2020 Camp details:
Committee is currently considering our options for this year's camp in light of the incredibly disruptive virus. By end of May/early June we will have to make a decision on what kind of event to run. As an alternative to a face-to-face in person gathering, if that won't be possible, we are looking at running a "virtual camp" via electronic means, with workshops and concerts on Zoom or a similar platform.
Stay tuned and if you haven't already, sign up to our email list using the little form to your right.
Rosewood Music Camp is three fabulous days of music making and dancing in Taungurung Country - the Strathbogie Ranges - in Spring - could there be anything better?
The 2020 Rosewood Music Camp will be held deep in a valley in the beautiful Strathbogie Ranges at the Charnwood Outdoor Education Centre, by the Moonee Moonee Creek.
Unpowered camping and rustic shared bunkhouse accommodation is available to campers, along with on-site catering options - so you can concentrate on music making and dancing!
All you need to bring (in addition to your camping gear) is a love of music & dance, an interest to learn, and the energy to have a good time. All levels of experience are catered for.
The Rosewood Music Camp provides a varied program of workshops for musicians both beginners and experienced, dancing, bushwalking, arts and craft, and yoga for children and adults alike. Everyone has the opportunity to get up on stage and perform in the grand finale concert on the Sunday evening.
The camp often sells out, so be sure to book early to ensure your place (and also to save a bit of stress for the organisers!)
The Charnwood Outdoor Education Centre is in a state park, so unfortunately no dogs are allowed at the camp. If you have a doggy friend you will have to arrange babysitting for the weekend! Thanks for your co-operation on this.
