![]() The inbox is starting to vibrate with enquiries as to whether tickets have gone on sale and where to find them, so this is just to apologise for a short delay to the launch of the 2016 tickets while we finalise our budget and tweak the ticket types to (hopefully) simplify things. Rest assured that if you are on our mailing list, you will be the first to know when tickets go on sale - which should be by the end of June. As most of you know, the camp is run entirely by volunteers, who like everyone else have work, family, health and relationship obligations to honour as well as bringing our awesome camp together each year. In other news, our chief Andy is travelling in South America with Polly and Sylvie for the next few months, and we're very lucky to have Dani Rocca stepping in to work with tutors in fine tuning this year's program while Andy is away. (They'll be back in time for camp!) More about this year's program soon.... Committee changes We've also welcomed to the committee this year stalwart campers Rachel Steinmann as Secretary (hooray!) and Jackie Chanzi (who came on to help us put a "camp manual" together and will be chairing meetings in the absence of the chief!). Rose Lavery is stepping up to the Treasurer role after a year as assistant (thanks Rose!). Special thanks and acknowledgement must go to that amazing force of energy and organisation who is Rex Odgers, our erstwhile Treasurer/Business Negotiator/Dunny dragger and everything else. Rex is still very much a part of the organising team but is retiring as Treasurer to allow the proper development of new leadership on the committee. You will still see him around camp, bringing us the Wash against Waste truck and helping in numerous ways, but hopefully also doing a bit more relaxing and enjoying the music! Jill is still looking after volunteers and Dot on bunkhouse allocations, Robyn on ticketing/website/PR, Christopher on data and logistics. Vera is our jill of all trades, always ready to jump in where needed. We spent a very wet weekend in May at Charnwood planning for this year and also meeting with the Turra crew to work on some of our common issues as camp organisers - and there may have been some music making amidst all the talking, info sharing and problem solving! It was also good to see what might be needed should it ever rain on the weekend of our camp (see photos!!). Both Committees are looking forward to making both of our camps that much better and sustainable in the longer term - stay tuned!
