Our amazing workshop tutors will make available resources at the workshop and you will find them on this page ready to download and have for all time to practice, share, and play. We also encourage you to have a go at joining in with music outside of the workshops - whether it's in the scratch band for bush dance, or a late night tune session.
Learning music by ear
We encourage everyone to have a go at learning music by ear, as it challenges us to see and experience music in a different way, as a communal experience! Sheet music is still very much welcome and will be provided by some teachers, but you might encounter some classes that don’t provide it. If you’re new to learning music by ear, here are some resources to check out before the camp. We also encourage you to head to our Sing-Along-Play-Along sessions as a great introduction.
The Watlz, the Polka and All Kinds of Music
This resource, created by Peter Ellis, was a life’s work. It is a collection of traditional dance tunes along with written instructions for the folk dances that accompany them.
